This walrus boat highlights the teeth and we think it looks so fun.

How to make a walrus pop up card with our walrus pop up card template

What do you need:

  • our arctic animals pop up card templates
  • cardstock (white for card printing and red for background)
  • scissors
  • Gum
  • painting supplies if using a black and white card template

step by step tutorial

Print the pop-up card template – you can choose black and white for the kids to color first.

After the card is printed (and color if printing the black and white version), cut along the contour of the card (rectangular shape).

Also cut pieces of prey, set aside – we will need them in the end.

Fold the pop-up walrus card along the center – marked with the dotted line.

The design should be on the outside of the folded card.

Then cut a slit (marked with a straight line) along the mouth line.

On the head of the walrus you will see two diagonal dotted lines, bend them along these lines – you can bend them back and forth.

Open the card and slowly begin to fold (close) the design inside.

As you close the card, push your fingers into your mouth – this way the folded part of the mouth will stay in place.

This is what you should see.

Run your hands through the wrinkles to make it nice and neat.

Fold the red background card in half.

Place the folded pop-up card inside, apply glue on one side and stick it.

Apply glue to the other side and cover the red card.

Let the glue set. After drying, open the card and stick the walrus teeth on the nose (in the indicated area).

All done, your walrus card is ready to use!
