The Boys season 3 trailer

The first trailer for The Boys season 3 was released, and surprisingly it was completely dialogue-free. However, what it lacks in words, it makes up for in action – a super-powered Billy Butcher, a new look at Solider Boy and the Crimson Countess, a few exploding corpses, and Homelander… milking a cow.

“That’s the dilemma: Does Butcher become a superhero or a villain?” Karl Urban told Entertainment Weekly about the emergence of superpowers. “You become a monster to defeat the monster? And I think one of the great things about this season is that every character is faced with this choice. How far are they willing to go? What line are they willing to cross to achieve what they want to achieve? It creates conflict for all the characters on the show, and it’s fun to see who really takes whose side.”

There’s also an ad for a restaurant called Buster Beaver’s, which, Kripke claims, appears to be influencing the coming season in some way. twitter “Very important to #BusterBeaver and his Pizza Friends Season 3 story” We’ll have to see how that turns out…

You can also see the previously released short teaser showing Homelander slowly losing his mind during a photo search. Article. Wait for trouble.

Comic Book also reported that Ackles shared a photo of his new hairstyle during quarantine for filming The Boys – if this is for the show, it’s a style change for the Soldier Boy, who has shorter hair in the comics and is shaved. So don’t rule out some kind of flashback or cloning antics just yet. An episode in the Seven on 7 video revealed that the character is still alive, so watch this space.

As for Black Noir? She has the potential to fuck in a very different and scary way. Regarding potential changes to Seven in Season 3, Mitchell said, “He and Maeve won’t get along! That’s pretty obvious. That’s it. back then interesting because you have this necessary alliance between people. Vatan does not trust Maeve, does not trust Starlight. Noir just fought Starlight, he definitely doesn’t trust Maeve. A-Train has just returned, has an uneasy alliance with Starlight, so now they are enemies.”

During a roundtable discussion, Kripke joked, “I can say season three without specifically about COVID – we’re talking a lot here in the US about the government’s response to COVID. And my guess is you’re going to see that play out figuratively one way or another. ”

One idea floating around for season three is “Heroism.” As the name suggests, it’s an arc ripped from the comics involving the Superes getting hot and sweaty with each other on a vacation trip paid for by Vought. This is set to form the fifth episode of the season.

We also have one last tip. One word: come back. It’s the title of The Boys season 3 premiere, and it also refers to a group from The Boys comics pages, which includes Soldier Boy and (also) Stormfront. Can we see more of the super team in season three?

Some more concrete plot mocks have also been provided lately. Toward season 3, teasers are airing in the style of a TV newscast, and the two that have hit the internet so far featured some interesting story developments in Vought News Network feeds.

In just two episodes, we learn: Homelander is pouting in the Tower after what happened in Stormfront in season two, he won’t be Super in the military, Dawn of the Seven is in purgatory, Blindspot is reported missing, Hughie Campbell is Eagle the Archer, who works as a senior analyst for Congressman Neuman, and the Deep is taking over Church of the Collective, Starlight’s ‘Never Truly Vanish’ is a hit on the charts (and ex-boyfriend Supersonic returns, “fake news” exhaustion while he’s in the news), Homelander supporters “keep super terrorists at bay” “They built a wall of people for (and fell ill with heatstroke and dehydration), Compound V production has been discontinued, Queen Maeve has stopped at the vents of two centers for LGBTQ+ youth and is returning to A-Train Seven. The Boys season 3 trailer
The first The Boys season 3 trailer dropped and, surprisingly, it was completely dialogue-free. What it lacks in words, though, it makes up for in action – including a superpowered Billy Butcher, a new look at Solider Boy and Crimson Countess, several exploding bodies, and Homelander… milking a cow.
“That’s the dilemma: does Butcher become a superhero or a super villain?” Karl Urban told Entertainment Weekly of the superpowers reveal. “In order to defeat the monster, do you become the monster? What line are they willing to cross in order to achieve what they want to achieve? For all the characters on the show, it creates a conflict and it’s fun to see who actually ends up on whose side.”
There’s also a commercial for a restaurant named Buster Beaver’s which seems to factor into the next season somehow, with Kripke claiming on Twitter that “#BusterBeaver & his Pizza Pals are crucial to the Season 3 storyline” We’ll have to see how that plays out…
Plus, you can see the previously released, shorter teaser which shows Homelander slowly losing his mind during a photocall. Uh oh. Expect trouble.
The Boys season 3 cast

One confirmed new addition to the cast is Soldier Boy, a Supe who is essentially a twisted take on Captain America. He will be played by Supernatural star Jensen Ackles.
Eric Kripke describes the character as “the very first Superhero, he’ll bring so much humor, pathos, and danger to the role.” Kripke also told TV Guide that Soldier Boy has a surprise connection to Stormfront. Comic Book also reports that Ackles has shared a picture of his new hairstyle, seemingly during quarantine for filming on The Boys – if this is for the show, it’s a style shake-up for Soldier Boy, who in the comics has shorter hair and is clean-shaven. The first official images of the character reveal a slightly less unkempt version of Ackles, with shorter hair and beard. He’s also in full costume, and you can even see his shield. Check the pictures out below, alongside the first look at Blue Hawk.

There are also three new Supes in town: Sean Patrick Flannery, Nick Wechsler, and Miles Gaston Villanueva will play Gunpowder, Blue Hawk (who you can also see above), and Supersonic respectively. The Walking Dead’s Laurie Holden will be playing Crimson Countess.
Frances Turner, Kristin Booth, and Jack Doolan have also joined season 3. Turner will play Monique, the wife of Mother’s Milk, while Booth and Doolan will play Supes Tessa and Tommy, AKA the TNT Twins.
Among those who might not be returning are Stormfront (Aya Cash) and Becca (Shantel VanSanten), who both perished in the season 2 finale. Of course, the show hasn’t been shy about bringing back dead characters via other means – such as Doppelganger turning into Elizabeth Shue’s Madelyn Stilwell. So don’t rule out some form of flashback or cloning shenanigans just yet. An installment in the Seven on 7 videos revealed that the character is still alive, so watch this space.
Cash seems fairly certain she’s not back, though, telling Metacritic: “The Boys comes out on June 3 and I’ll be watching with the rest of you guys, unfortunately. That’s my update.”
The Boys season 3 story: Sex, Supes, and (probably) more head explosions

As for Black Noir? He has the potential to fuck shit up in a very different, scarier way. On the potential changes to the Seven in season 3, Mitchell said, “Him and Maeve are not going to get along! That’s pretty evident. It is so interesting because you have this forced alliance between people. Homelander doesn’t trust Maeve, doesn’t trust Starlight. Noir just fought Starlight, he definitely doesn’t trust Maeve. A-Train just clawed his way back in, he has this uneasy alliance with Starlight, so now they’re frenemies.”
“Everybody’s crossed, it’s like this house that’s divided within itself but still together. There are a lot of interesting undercurrents to the dynamic that’s going to come out of season 3.”
There’ll also be what Karen Fukuhara calls “a full-on musical moment,” per Entertainment Weekly. The scene will take place between Kimiko and Frenchie, and is glimpsed in the trail. Laz Alonso also revealed more about what’s ahead for Mother’s Milk, saying season 3 will be “a deep dive into trauma and what makes us tick as people” for his character.
The Boys story has never shied away from real-world events. You-know-what is dominating at the moment – and Eric Kripke is sure that COVID-19 will influence some of the stories he and his writing team will tell moving forward.
During a roundtable, Kripke teased, “I can tell that season three, without being specifically about COVID – we’re having a lot of conversations about the government response to COVID here in the States. And my guess is, you’ll see that metaphorically show up in one way or another.”
One idea that has been floated for season 3 is “Herogasm.” As the name implies, it’s an arc ripped from the comics that involves Supes getting hot and sweaty with each other on a Vought-paid-for vacation getaway. That is set to make up the season’s fifth episode.
In a Reddit AMA, Kripke confirmed he wanted to film those sex scenes for one episode. It looks to be happening, even if season 3 is already shaping up to be a doozy without any more bodily fluids being spilled.
If Kripke’s recent Tweets are any indication, season 3 will even feature the Dawn of the Seven world premiere. The Avengers-style Vought movie was ‘filmed’ during the events of The Boys season 2, and we could see the finished product in future episodes. Actor Laz Alonso has also teased a serious amount of blood is being spilled in the upcoming season.
Kripke also recently told EW that “the craziest thing we’ve ever done” is tucked away in the third season’s premiere.
We also have one final clue. A word: Payback. That’s the title of The Boys season 3 premiere and is also a reference to a group torn from the pages of The Boys comics, one that includes Soldier Boy and (at one time) Stormfront. Could we see more of the super-team in season 3?
Some more concrete plot teases have also been provided recently. In the lead-up to season 3, teasers in the style of a TV news bulletin are being released, and in the two that have hit the internet so far, the Vought News Network broadcasts have already teed up some interesting story developments.
In just two episodes, we learn that: Homelander is sulking in the Tower after what happened with Stormfront in season 2, there’ll be no Supes in the military, Dawn of the Seven is in limbo, Blindspot is being reported as missing, Hughie Campbell is working for Congresswoman Neuman as a senior analyst, Eagle the Archer and the Deep are both taking on the Church of the Collective, Starlight’s ‘Never Truly Vanish’ is a chart success (and her ex-boyfriend Supersonic is making a comeback, while she’s subject to “fake news” reports of exhaustion), Homelander’s supporters have made a human wall to “keep out superterrorists” (and fallen ill from sunstroke and dehydration), production of Compound V has been halted, Queen Maeve has been at the openings of two LGBTQ+ teen centers, and A-Train is returning to the Seven. Episode 2 of the faux-news bulletin also advertises Vought’s Global Wellness Center for struggling heroes.
Episode 3’s reveals includes that the Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs has partnered with Vought to find “bad apples” in the Supe ranks, A-Train has released a single, Homelander made a public appearance at a Vought-a-Burger grand opening, and Vought continues to deny a connection to the Sage Grove Center, and has purchased the building to turn it into the Global Wellness Center.
Episode 4 tells us that Stormfront is “securely locked away,” but still has vocal supporters, Starlight has switched back to her classic costume, the Deep has a new job with Liquid Death Mountain Water, Cindy the Sage Grove Center escapee is still (violently) on the loose, and Ezekiel is being charged with multiple counts of abuse and misconduct.
Episode 5 reveals a Supe has accused Starlight of blackmail, Black Noir is recovering from his allergic reaction, and Homelander has pledged to restore faith in Supes. Episode 6 features an appearance from Hughie himself, and also reveals that the search for a new member of the Seven is taking place in a reality TV show hosted by Starlight.
