Autumn is a great time of year to craft crafts from natural materials, and this simple leaf art idea will unleash your child’s creativity.

While dry leaves work best for this project, it can also be made with fresh leaves as you will be able to showcase and admire your child’s work for a long time.

How to make a simple page art idea

What do you need:

  • white cardstock (square or rectangular pieces)
  • Gum
  • big eyes
  • black lining
  • circle punch
  • watercolors of your choice (autumn colors)
  • scrub
  • small bouquet of autumn leaves

Used materials

step by step instructions

Paint the piece of white cardboard with watercolor and let it dry on its side.

Stage 1

Use the round stapler…

…to round the corners as shown in the image.

Glue some pages onto the card.

Stage 3

Draw a smiling mouth and hands on each sheet.

Add two bright eyes on each sheet.

What do you need:

glue
wide eyes
black lining
circle puncher
watercolors of your choice (fall colors)
brush
bouquet of small autumn leaves

Step by step instructions
Paint the piece of white card stock with watercolors and let them dry aside.

Use the circle punch…

…to round the corners as shown in the picture.

Glue a few sheets to the card stock.

Draw on each sheet a mouth and smiling hands.

Attach two googly eyes to each leaf.

Finished!
