Mercedes-Benz Unveils 373 Mile Range All-Electric SUV

To set the EQS SUV apart from its sedan sibling, a “intelligent OFFROAD driving mode” the company says it will optimize the all-wheel drive distribution “Unpaved roads, slopes and terrain”. The vehicle will also offer better traction on snow and ice, detect spinning wheels and adjust torque distribution accordingly.

The EQS SUV will be built for the US market at the Mercedes-Benz factory in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and will be available for purchase in late 2022. Mercedes-Benz It hasn’t revealed pricing for the EQS SUV, but online speculation suggests it will likely be priced above $100,000, much like Tesla’s Model X. That’s to be expected, as the smaller EQS sedan starts at $102,000.
