How to Draw a Cake – Step by Step Drawing Tutorial

Learning to draw a cake is easier than you think. By following these steps, you will have a cake to color and decorate in no time!

What do you need:

  • our printable drawing guide (optional)
  • black pen or marker
  • paper

Step by step cake drawing instructions

Stage 1

Start by drawing a curved line. Almost like a smile.

Next, you will place three rectangles in the middle of the curved line.

Add small sticks to light the “candle” flame. Also complete the curved line, making it look almost like a soccer ball.

Add three small flames to the candlesticks. Then finish the top layer cake by adding lines on the sides and bottom.

Begin the next part of the cake by drawing a circle at the bottom. Make sure it is slightly larger than the other cake layer.

Add sides and bottoms to the cake!

You will then draw a small circle at the bottom of the cake and add a larger circle around it.

Decorate now! Add curved lines to both layers of the cake.
