They’re also great Halloween crafts for the classroom because they require little preparation and are quick to prepare.

How to make pop-up cards for Halloween

What do you need:

  • our pop up card template
  • black or red cardstock
  • scissors
  • Gum
  • optional: painting supplies

step by step tutorial

Print templates (black or white or colour). Thicker printer paper or cardstock works best, but this craft also works well on plain paper, especially if you use cardstock (black or red paper) as the base.

If you printed the Halloween pop-up cards in black and white, have the kids color them first.

Then cut the model along the outline of the rectangle.

You will need to cut a number of teeth, as well as the vampire card that opens.

Fold the card in half, following the dotted line in the center of the template.

You will see a full line from the mouth, cut along that line with scissors.

There are two diagonal dotted lines near the mouth line. Also make folds along these two lines.

Unfold the two diagonal folds you just made. Also open the map.

With the design facing you, push your fingers into the “mouth” on the back of the design (one hand on top of the design and the other on the bottom).

Keep pushing your fingers as you slowly close the card (this time with the design inside). Set it aside.

Take the red paper (model size or larger) and fold it in half.

Take the pop-up card template, apply glue in half and stick it inside the folded card.

Then apply glue to the other half…

And cover the card by pressing firmly to let the glue dry.

Apply a small amount of glue to the teeth and stick to the specified area.

finished! Your first of three Halloween pop-up card templates is complete.
